Fabric And Convertible Hood Sealant
Fabric & Convertible Hood Sealant — Long‑Lasting Hydrophobic Protection
Our Fabric & Convertible Hood Sealant (trade name “HydroGuard”) is a water‑borne fluorine‑free protector developed to repel rain, road grime and UV fallout on canvas, mohair and textile tops. The polymer matrix forms an invisible, breathable barrier that restores factory‑level water beading while resisting mould growth and colour fade.
Performance Highlights
Attribute | Benefit |
---|---|
Advanced hydrophobic polymer | Creates a durable water‑shedding layer that lasts up to 12 months per application. |
UV & contamination shield | Helps prevent photo‑bleaching, mildew staining and embedded road film. |
Vapour‑permeable membrane | Allows the fabric to “breathe”, avoiding trapped moisture that can cause delamination. |
Neutral pH (4–6) | Safe on natural and synthetic convertible fabrics with zero chalking or whitening. |
Zero VOC / non‑flammable | Not classified as hazardous for transport or storage; garage‑friendly. |

*Typical values; subject to normal manufacturing tolerances.
Application Guidelines
- Preparation — Clean the fabric surface thoroughly and allow to dry fully.
- Apply — Mist the product evenly onto the fabric at 15–20 cm distance until saturation. Work in sections.
- Level — Use a clean foam or microfiber applicator to spread and ensure uniform coverage.
- Cure — Allow a minimum of 4 hours at 15–25 °C before exposing to moisture. Full hydrophobic performance develops after 24 hours.
- Maintenance — Re‑apply when water beads begin to diminish (typically every 9–12 months).
